Senior Advisor for International Students and Scholars
Diane Haydon is currently a Senior Advisor in the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). Her responsibilities include advising Penn’s international students and scholars on immigration regulations; advising University faculty and staff on regulations pertaining to foreign students and scholars; welcoming new students and scholars to the University of Pennsylvania; and helping to plan and present workshops on various topics for students, scholars and University departments. Much of her work is focused on the areas of H-1B advising and processing and permanent residence advising for the University and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Diane earned undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Kentucky and began her career there in the Office of International Affairs. In 1985 she began work at the University of Pennsylvania as Assistant for Special Programs in ISSS, and later became Advisor for International Students and Scholars, a position which she held for approximately 15 years. She worked for 2 ½ years as a Senior Paralegal in the Immigration Practice Group of Dechert LLP and subsequently in the immigration firm of Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer LLP in Philadelphia.
