Schedule an Appointment with a Program Manager

Before you meet with a Program Manager you must complete the Penn Abroad 101 Session* and complete your online advising questionnaire (instructions are included in the 101 Session).  The 101 Session covers important basic information about studying abroad as a Penn student, while your advising appointment will cover specific information about the programs that you are of interest to you.

Tip:  In order to make the best use of your advising session, please review the online program brochures of the programs that interest you before you meet with a Program Manager.

Penn Abroad now uses an online scheduling tool.  To schedule an appointment, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Penn Abroad staff page
  2. Scroll down to the staff member that you would like to meet with and click on "Schedule an Advising Appointment with..."
  3. The online scheduler will open in another window.
  4. IMPORTANT:  Make sure to click the blue link that says "Click to Request an Appointment" to display and select an available appointment slot.

NOTE:  While we certainly appreciate efforts to plan ahead, during peak advising times (September through October 15; January through February 1) priority will be given to students who are applying to study abroad in the upcoming semester.  For example, a student requesting an appointment on September 15 for the next fall term, may be asked to reschedule for after October 15.

During your advising session, if it becomes clear to your Program Manager that you did not attend the 101 Session, you will be asked to leave your advising appointment, complete the 101 Session and reschedule for another date.
