Semester and Academic Year Programs

In collaboration with Penn's four undergraduate schools, Penn Abroad maintains a list of approved semester and academic year study abroad programs through which participants can receive Penn credit (individual academic departments at Penn are solely responsible for determining exactly which courses taken abroad will receive credit in particular disciplines and whether the courses fulfill major or other requirements). In addition to semester study abroad, an increasing list of Penn Global Seminars and Global Internship opporutnities are also available. Click the red Search Programs box to the right to view Penn-approved programs.

Semester Deadlines

Penn Abroad application deadlines are generally early September to mid-October for spring semester study abroad and early to mid-February for fall and academic-year study abroad. There are some exceptions to these dates so it is important that you review the Penn Abroad website early for specific application deadlines. You can find deadlines on the individual program brochures.

Deadlines for petition programs are October 1 for spring and February 1 for fall and academic year.
