Fund Management

Payment will be provided to the recipient in a lump sum, via journal entry processed from Penn Global’s Business Office upon completion of all referenced award documents.

Awardees are required to to use Survey Monkey Apply to submit interim reports after six months and final reports at the conclusion of their projects. See the Reporting Requirements page for more information.

Unexpended funds must be returned and may not be “banked” for future use beyond the scope of the approved project, unless explicitly approved by Penn Global. 

Awardees must notify Penn Global (global@upenn.edu) if circumstances necessitate changes to their budget of 20% or more of the overall budget amount. As a reminder, award funds may not be used to fund faculty or permanent staff salaries, or business class airfare. If you have any questions about these restrictions, please contact Penn Global.

Requests for no-cost extensions must be made at least two months prior to the expiration of an award. A no-cost extension must be approved by the Executive Director of Penn Global. No-cost extensions are not guaranteed, and extensions will not be made for longer than one year. To request an extension, email global@upenn.edu.
