As we previously announced, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a component of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), began automating the I-94 process at air and sea ports by eliminating the paper Form I-94 as of April 30, 2013.
ISSS is offering information sessions regarding the new process on the following dates. Please click on the date to register:
· Thursday, May 9, 2013, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
· Wednesday, May 15, 2013, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
· Tuesday, May 21, 2013, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
· Thursday, May 30, 2013, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
The following topics will be covered:
· Detailed CBP implementation plan and affected ports of entry
· Benefits of the new automated process
· Possible challenges
· Effect on I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process
· Effect on USCIS immigration benefits applications and petitions
· Ability of foreign nationals over 18 years old to prove immigration status
· Effect on I-515A process
· Effect on automatic visa revalidation
All sessions will be held in our temporary office on the sixth floor of International House.
