Immigration H-1B Premium Processing Reinstated

July 24, 2017
By ISSS

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that, effective immediately, they will resume Premium Processing of H-1B petitions for cap-exempt organizations, such as institutions of higher education like Penn.

Departments are again able to take advantage of Premium Processing when submitting H-1b petitions to USCIS.  H-1B petitions submitted to ISSS with a request for Premium Processing should include a separate check for $1,225 made payable to the US Department of Homeland Security.   If you have a pending case that you would like to upgrade, please consult the advisor who handled your case.

Premium Processing expedites the adjudication of petitions by USCIS within 15 days for an additional fee of $1225.  It was suspended in April 2017 and has now be re-introduced for cap-exempt petitioners like Penn.
