Collaboration with China

The Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business (undergraduate) and the Lauder Institute (graduate) are pioneering joint degree programs between the School of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School that combine business study with cultural and language fluency. Both programs offer a Chinese concentration, and both programs require study abroad or similar immersion experience in China.

The Chinese Language Program of the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations offers languages instruction at all levels.

Undergraduate Exchange agreements (managed out of Penn Abroad) include the Chinese University of Hong Kong, CET Beijing: Intensive Chinese Language, ACC Beijing: Intensive Language and Culture, CIEE Beijing: Advanced Chinese Studies, CIEE Beijing: Intensive Language Studies, and CIEE Shanghai: China in a Global Context.

The School’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) has a relationship with Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management, which sends students to the LPS International Guest Student Program (IGSP).

Shanghai University of Finance and Economics sends students to both IGSP and to the LPS English Language Programs.
