Hudson Stovall

Huntsman ’28
PGS: Chinese Language and Culture: High Intermediate Chinese II

Hudson Stovall is a student in the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is pursuing a dual degree in business at the Wharton School and international studies, with a focus on Mandarin Chinese. Originally from West Orange, New Jersey, Hudson is interested in global business, language, and cross-cultural exchange.

On campus, Hudson is involved in BlackGen Capital, where he serves as Vice President of Education and helps lead programming on financial modeling, valuation, and stock pitching. He is also a member of Penn Growth Equity, where he explores investment opportunities and develops his interest in private markets. Outside of finance, Hudson is passionate about music and entrepreneurship. He is a former All-State jazz saxophonist and has performed at venues across New York City, and he previously founded and scaled an apparel brand across multiple campuses.

Through the Penn Global Seminar on Chinese Language and Culture, Hudson is excited to deepen his Mandarin skills through full immersion and engage directly with students and professionals in Beijing and Shanghai. He is especially looking forward to visiting sites such as the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, and the Bund, as well as participating in company visits and cultural exchanges with local university students.
