Jasmine Simpson

In the fall of 2026, she will be studying abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa through the CIEE Ecology and Sustainability program. With career aspirations in global environmental policy, she looks forward to connecting with fellow international environmentalists and going on exciting adventures like mountain biking and kayaking.

On campus, she writes for Penn Climate, evaluates curriculum at Civic House, serves as co-Vice Chair on the Netter Center Student Advisory Board, and plays for the club rugby team. In her free time, she loves sitting in nature on a warm, sunny day with a book in one hand and Auntie Anne’s in the other. 

This fall, she is excited to:

• Expand her environmental knowledge and network,
• Explore Cape Town’s cultural and ecological landscape, 
• Improve her rugby skills, and
• Try new food!
