As a finance major interested in technology investing, my internship at KK Fund allowed me to apply classroom concepts in a real investment setting while developing a much deeper understanding of the industries shaping the future. Through founder meetings, investment memos, due diligence, and attending conferences such as Computex, NextRise, and InnoVEX, I explored emerging technologies ranging from semiconductors and AI infrastructure to enterprise software. Rather than simply analyzing financial metrics, I learned how investors evaluate markets that may not yet exist, assess technical innovation, and make decisions under uncertainty. The experience strengthened my conviction that I want to pursue a career at the intersection of finance and technology investing.

Equally valuable was the personal growth that came from living and traveling independently throughout Asia. Visiting India and Singapore exposed me to different business cultures and entrepreneurial ecosystems while pushing me outside my comfort zone. Every founder conversation required me to ask thoughtful questions, communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, and quickly understand unfamiliar industries. Traveling independently also meant adapting to unexpected situations, solving problems in real time, and becoming more confident navigating new environments. Together, these experiences strengthened not only my technical understanding of investing, but also the curiosity, adaptability, and communication skills that I hope to carry into a career in finance.
