James Tran is a College of Arts and Sciences sophomore studying Political Science with a minor in Consumer Psychology. During the summer, he is in Seoul, South Korea, working as a Marketing Intern through the Global Research and Internship Program (GRIP) at Penn. From the great city of Dallas, Texas, he is excited to be traveling abroad to Asia for the first time. In his time on campus, he is the Vice President of the Penn Vietnamese Students’ Association, a member of Penn Appetit, the Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn Undergraduate Law Journal, and a Program Assistant at the Pan-Asian American Community House (PAACH). In his free time, he enjoys making cooking videos, photography, exploring restaurants and coffee shops with friends, and much more. He is excited for a summer filled with fun, work, and exploration.

● Exploring Seoul and the greater cities (Busan, Jeju Island, Incheon, etc.)
● Working as a Marketing Intern for Be Mused Co. Korea (Skincare Umbrella)
● Eating lots of Korean food, trying raw octopus, soy-marinated crab, shrimp, etc.
● Traveling to Japan
● Meeting people around the world and trying to speak Korean.
