GRIP: Intern in India

Program Abroad:

  • Global Research & Internship Program (GRIP): Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI)

Ask me about...

  • Working in an environment where people mostly speak in a different language

  • Traveling alone for the first time

  • Learning to accept a completely different cultural standard

My Experience Abroad:

Traveling to India and interning for the Public Health Foundation of India gave me the unique opportunity to gain professional experience in a government health organization as well as hands-on community involvement. Learning about public health issues specific to a region and working in a different cultural environment makes me feel prepared to enter into almost any public health setting.

Other Highlights:

  • Traveling to different schools and being a part of program implementations at the schools

  • Weekend trip to Jaipur

  • Visiting family members who live in India

  • Ziplining over Neemrana Fort Palace
