GRIP: Remote Intern

Programs Abroad:

Global Research & Internship Program (GRIP - Virtual program in Summer 2021): Fundación Instituto David Hume in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Ask me about...

What made my abroad experience unique was that it was remote! While it would have been wonderful to be physically present in Buenos Aires for my internship, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself still building a global network despite being online. Whether it be speaking with other GRIP Buenos Aires interns during our cohort calls or speaking to my supervisor in Spanish, it has been remarkable to have an international experience from my computer!

My Experience Abroad:

The GRIP Program for Social Impact in Buenos Aires was the consummate intersection of my academic and professional interests. As an International Relations major with a concentration in Latin American politics, the opportunity to intern in Buenos Aires was invaluable as it provided real-world experience in the region I am studying and furthered my practice of Spanish (a subject I am minoring in).

Other Highlights:

  • Being able to build a global network despite being remote.
  • Immersing myself in different cultures from home.
  • Participating in timely research about the future of work, while experiencing the future of work!
