Semester Abroad (SA): Columbia in Paris at Reid Hall, France
Ask me about...
Taking classes in a foreign language abroad after you've taken one language class at Penn! I took one French class right before I left, and my entire program was in French. I got a 4 on the AP test (so I wasn't even that good), and didn't use French again until my French class in college. I somehow survived, and you should definitely ask about how I did it.
My Experience Abroad:
To me, the fact that I was able to go a semester without any business classes was a lot of fun. No pre-professional focus meant that I was able to take classes that really allowed me to be immersed in the culture of France. All of my classes abroad filled the General Education portion of the Wharton requirements.
Seeing celebrities outside the Dior show during Paris Fashion Week.
Dancing at the grungiest, most dilapidated, but incredibly authentic club in Berlin.
As an art history aficionado, any time I saw a famous painting was a highlight.
