Virtual Internships Abroad offers you professional work experience with global employers in a highly flexible and customizable format.
The Virtual Internships Abroad (VIA) program provides self-directed and motivated Penn undergraduate students the opportunity to gain a fully funded professional work experience over the summer with a global employer, with the added convenience of working remotely. Students can choose the length of their internship and the number of hours they wish to work per week, all while gaining important skills through cross-cultural training and language learning.
Program Features and Facts:
Match with a remote internship in a wide variety of industries including business, engineering, law, tourism, fashion, entrepreneurship, graphic design, video production, sustainability, healthcare, non-profit management, and dozens more
Work with an employer based in countries across Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Australia
Customize your own internship dates (4-10 weeks) and work schedule (10-40 hours per week) to fit your goals, availability, and other summer commitments
Take advantage of cultural immersion opportunities such as language learning, cross-cultural networking events, and virtual local city tours
Receive full funding to cover 100% of the virtual internship program fee, which includes the internship placement, professional workshops, cultural programming, and ongoing internship support
