Perry World House and Iron Gate Theater

Penn Global Week is an opportunity to showcase the depth and breadth of cultural activity and global programming available across campus and to engage the University community. There are four featured, public events, hosted by Penn Global, that anchor Penn Global Week.

This year's theme is wellness, encapsulated by our slogan Be Well in the World. Inspired by the Wellness at Penn initiative, each main event will serve as a platform to better understand and practice wellness, whether on campus or abroad. 

Featured events include:

The World Today presents: Bioethics and Global Healthcare with Ezekiel J. Emanuel and Jonathan D. Moreno

Tuesday, September 10, 3:00pm - 4:00pm, Perry World House

Perry World House will host a special edition of its weekly event The World Today, a timely and intimate conversation on a global policy issue.

Penn Abroad Fair

Wednesday, September 11, 11:00am - 2:00pm, Perry World House

The Penn Abroad Fair offers students the opportunity to learn about the many global opportunities available to them at Penn. 

World Story Slam

Thursday, September 12, 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Iron Gate Theater

The second-annual World Story Slam is an “open mic” event where students can share short stories about their experiences traveling to new countries, engaging with new communities, and learning about new cultures - whether in the course of traveling abroad or while coming to Penn.

Global Quakers Night

Friday, September 13, 5:30pm - 7:30pm, Perry World House

Meet new classmates, catch up with friends, and celebrate Penn’s international communities while enjoying globally-inspired food and music. Also, catch appearances by a diverse selection of Penn performing arts groups, including the Pan-Asian dance Troupe, PennYo A Capella, Yalla, and many others!
