Perry World House presents its 2018 Global Shifts Colloquium:

"Prospects for Institutional and Policy Reform on International Migration and Refugees"

Since Perry World House opened its doors in fall 2016, its research theme, "Global Shifts: Urbanization, Migration, and Demography" has explored and raised key policy questions at the intersection of urbanization, migration, and demography, three trends that are collectively transforming the world in profound ways. Our work thus far has focused on the imperative of integration for forced migrants; processes for building inclusive, sustainable cities; and the need for evidence-based policies on refugees and migration. Across all of these issues, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners alike are dissatisfied with the status quo and want more robust, responsive, better coordinated, and durable reform that strengthens the international response to the needs of people who are, for myriad reasons, migrating. Join us for a day of rich discussions about prospects for reform on these issues.
