DeAnna Weise

DeAnna joined GSS July 2019 as Director of Global Operations and Compliance supporting the Executive Director with global strategic planning, coordination, and compliance. In this role, she will work closely with the Tax and Comptroller teams, Treasury, OGC, Audit and Compliance and other Central offices, analyzing information to formulate and support global policies, strategies and compliance requirements.  DeAnna will also be working directly with Schools and Centers that have established entities abroad or have significant activity outside the US – providing in-country tax and business advice, operational implementation assistance, and facilitating regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies. DeAnna is a Certified Public Accountant with over 8 years of diversified tax and business experience: she has consulted on various international projects, managed tax compliance for inpatriate and expatriate taxpayers, reviewed nonprofit tax withholding processes of foreign taxpayers, prepared U.S. international tax forms, and coordinated international compliance for multinational companies. She received her Master in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB) in Grenoble, France. She is originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and received her Bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance from Salisbury University.
