This fair is a combined fair by NSO office and Graduate Student center and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

 
IKEA Shopping Trip (PHINS) 2 9:00AM - 5:00PM Bus Location: 37th St between Sansom & Chestnut Undergraduate

The buses will depart campus every hour beginning at 9:30am and ending at 3:30pm. The buses will leave IKEA every hour beginning at 11am and ending at 5pm.

Hear international students talk about things they wish they knew before starting their first year at Penn and engage in an informal chat with student panelists! Afterwards, PHINS escort students to the bus pick-up location for the IKEA shopping trip.

International Student Info Session  3 1:30PM - 4:00PM Meyerson B1 Undergraduate

This mandatory information session will introduce students to staff from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and its key immigration services and integration programs. It will also feature members from the Assembly of International Students (AIS) who will talk about life at Penn as an international student. There will be trivia at the end where you could win a prize!

 

Mark your calendars for International Student Orientation (ISO) 2023, which will begin on Monday, August 21, 2023! Events will take place at various times and locations on campus throughout the week. View the full schedule below. Registration is not required for ISO events unless indicated. 

NOTE: Events marked "PHINS" are not hosted by ISSS. Please reach out to the PHINS (Peers Helping Incoming New Students) for more information and details about these events. 

Apart from ISO, you will also have the opportunity to participate in New Student Orientation (for undergraduate students) or School/program-specific orientation events (for graduate students). 

  • New Student Orientation (NSO) for all Penn undergraduates will begin on Wednesday, August 23 and end on Monday, August 28. For more information about NSO, please refer to the NSOAI website
  • Graduate students should check with their schools/departments to find out about any program-specific orientation events.
