J1 Exchange Visitor “Discover Philadelphia” – Culture Crossings

Discover Philadelphia: A Cultural Stroll Through the Heart of the City
An Invitation for J-1 Scholars and Their Significant Others
Join us for a guided walking tour through some of Philadelphia’s most iconic landmarks and vibrant cultural institutions. This immersive experience is a fantastic way for J-1 Scholars and their partners to connect with each other while exploring the city’s rich history and architecture.

Highlights include:

Philadelphia City Hall – A marvel of masonry and civic pride topped with William Penn himself.

LOVE Park – Snap a photo at the beloved “LOVE” statue and feel the city’s signature warmth.

Benjamin Franklin Parkway – A scenic cultural corridor lined with world-class museums.

The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul – A striking religious landmark with centuries of history.

Logan Circle – Home to the Swann Memorial Fountain and lush green landscaping.

Rodin Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art & Boathouse Row – A glimpse into Philadelphia’s artistic and athletic heart.

Fairmount Water Works & Azalea Garden – Our final destination for a relaxing lunch with a view.

Lunch Plans:
We’ll pause for lunch at the scenic Azalea Garden. Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic or purchase food from the nearby Cosmic Café (https://www.cosmicfoods.com/).

Please note: If it’s drizzling, we’ll still proceed with the event—just bring an umbrella or raincoat. In the case of heavy rain, the event will be canceled. If the weather only allows for a shortened outing, lunch may be skipped, so packing snacks is recommended.

Important Notes:
This event is intended for adult participants only. Children and pets are not permitted.
