2024 Penn Global Student Citizenship Award
Penn Global and ISSS are committed to honoring and recognizing international students exhibiting highly-demonstrated global engagement by bringing the world to Penn and Penn to the world. The Penn Global Student Citizenship Award will be bestowed to a graduating international student who has best exemplified a spirit of global citizenship during their time at Penn. There will be one award for an undergraduate student and one award for a graduate student.
The honored recipients will receive a trophy award and will be publicly acknowledged on social media, the ISSS website, and other communications. Recipients' names will also be publicly displayed on a plaque in the ISSS office that will be seen for years to come! Please see below for Award Criteria and Application Instructions.

Work proactively, consistently, and positively with ISSS in promoting and enhancing its services and programs (e.g., International Student Advisory Board, International Student Table for Advocacy & Relations, International Partners Outreach Group, Forerunner, International Student Orientation, Intercultural Leadership Program, Penn World Scholars, etc.)

Positively influenced the Penn community and contributed to a spirit of global citizenship by demonstrating a willingness to cooperate with others in a positive and productive manner.

Actively and positively engaged in a local community (i.e. Philadelphia, hometown) to enhance the well-being of the people.

Demonstrated active involvement and responsibility in causes that benefited the well-being of others on a global scale, increased awareness, and developed solutions through specific projects.
Eligibility
International undergraduate and graduate students who graduated in December 2023 or will graduate in May or August 2024 can apply for this award.
