Important Update: Non-Immigrant Visa Applications
The U.S. Department of State has issued updated guidance for non-immigrant visa (NIV) applicants, effective immediately:
- Visa Interviews: Schedule your appointment at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country of nationality or residence.
- Designated Locations: Nationals of countries without routine NIV operations must apply at the designated embassy or consulate listed below.
- Fees & Wait Times: Applications outside your country of nationality or residence may face longer wait times, and fees are non-refundable.
- Existing Appointments: Current appointments generally will not be cancelled.
- Exceptions: This guidance does not apply to diplomatic/official visas, A, G, C-2/C-3/NATO visas, UN travel, or rare humanitarian/medical emergencies.
