Alert: SEVIS Fee Increase for F and J nonimmigrants announced by Homeland Security

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced changes to the I-901 SEVIS Fee charged by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).  The fee increase applies to international students, exchange visitors and SEVP-certified schools and will take effect June 24, 2019.  

 

These fees apply only to new international students or visitors and those returning after a leave with a new initial I-20 or DS-2019. 

 

The related SEVIS fee increases are as follows:

 

F-1 students: from $200 to $350

J-1 students and scholars: from $180 to $220
