Biography
Annika is an International Student Advisor in ISSS, and joined Penn in February 2026 after over three years working with international students at Lehigh University.
Annika grew up in northwestern Minnesota, and earned her B.A. in International Studies and Chinese from Vassar College. Her love for all things international began with a childhood year spent in Norway, after which she spent ten summers attending and subsequently working at a Norwegian language camp in Minnesota. Mandarin Chinese was offered at her high school, and her interest propelled her to continue studying it in college.
Annika loves linguistics and geography, and enjoys learning about international students’ languages and cultures. Outside of work, she loves reading, exploring shops and farmers markets, and walking outdoors.
