Lindsey Huahuamullo Papa (Peru)

Biography

Lindsey is a current first-year student at the University of Pennsylvania, planning to major in Economics and PPE with a minor in Urban Education. She grew up in Lima, Peru, where she developed a passion for leadership and educational equity from a young age.

Having led social-impact initiatives across Peru and Latin America, Lindsey understands the complexities of balancing academic demands with community work, as well as the challenges international students face when adapting to a new culture. She is the founder of Wake Up Now and ImpactaYA, youth-led organizations that have empowered thousands of students across the region, and she also serves on the Global Advisory Council of Teach For All and United Nations Youth Office.

Outside the classroom, Lindsey enjoys writing, exploring new cultural activities, and discovering hidden cafés where she can read or connect with friends.
