Zhiyao Tang (China)

Biography

Zhiyao is a Ph.D. student in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Penn. He first came to Penn in 2018 as an undergraduate and has since continued on to doctoral studies.

Having spent his entire academic journey at Penn, he has experienced both the excitement and the challenges of adjusting to a new culture, building community, and finding balance as an international student.

In his free time, Zhiyao enjoys being outdoors, being a cat dad, traveling, and battling to keep his Duolingo streak alive.
