Penn Global Mosaic
This pre-orientation program for new undergraduate students interested in broadening their worldview and becoming informed global citizens. A great way to learn and build friendships with peers from all over the world, this program is a fun opportunity to explore Penn’s global opportunities and learn how students can leverage their Penn experience to shape their future as global leaders.
What is Penn Global Mosaic
Penn Global Mosaic is a program open to all incoming undergraduate students interested in building global leadership skills, developing intercultural competencies, and connecting with peers from around the world.
Inclusivity of Penn Global Mosaic
Designed for both U.S. and international students, Penn Global Mosaic allows incoming students to cultivate friendships with peers from diverse backgrounds and begin their global experience from Day One.
Three-Day Off-Campus Retreat
Led by Penn upperclassmen and student leaders, Penn Global Mosaic provides a close-knit community for new students to engage with and receive mentorship from upperclassmen.
During the three-day off-campus retreat in the Pendle Hill, students will participate in a range of thought-provoking and exciting team-building activities, games, and structured experiences in both small and large group settings.
By the end of the retreat, students will also gain a deeper understanding of the world and the global opportunities available at Penn and beyond.
Sponsorship of Penn Global Mosaic
Penn Global and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) sponsor Penn Global Mosaic, aligning with their mission to bring the world to Penn and Penn to the world by providing a truly distinctive and inclusive pre-orientation experience.
Timing of Penn Global Mosaic
Held in mid-August, the program is designed to seamlessly fit with new students’ busy schedules. Participants will return to campus just in time for international student orientation (ISO) and new student orientation (NSO), allowing them to fully engage in both programs and start their Penn experience without missing a beat.
