Perry World House Launches Technology for America Project

Perry World House (PWH) at the University of Pennsylvania announces the launch of a new project in conjunction with the Wharton School, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Penn Washington. The Tech for America project will work to develop policy and governance ideas to enable and accelerate technology development and adoption in the United States.

The project will be led by Michael C. Horowitz, PWH Faculty Director; Radha Iyengar Plumb, PWH Distinguished Visiting Fellow Radha Iyengar Plumb; and Dave Vorland, former Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space and Missile Defense Policy.

“This initiative will bring together the best minds at a critical time for technological innovation. I am thrilled that Radha and Dave have joined me to lead this project and help advance technological innovation in the U.S,” says PWH Faculty Director Michael C. Horowitz.

Through monthly “Technology Action” seminars and salon-style dinners bringing together leaders from industry, academia, and civil society, the Technology for America project will generate evidence-driven insights to help shape the policy conversation.
