PGRI: European Studies Institute Info Session

The PGRI: European Studies Institute provides students the opportunity to conduct research in Europe alongside Penn faculty with a focus on how Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine is changing Europe. Under the supervision of Prof. Mitchell Orenstein (Department of Russian and East European Studies), selected students will work for a full year as part of a research team on this topic starting in April, including a January site visit to Europe to interview policy makers and thought leaders, while also developing their own individual research projects, mainly senior theses or publishable papers, on a wide range of related themes. Attendance at the info session or viewing the recording is required to apply for the program.
