Announcing the 2019-2020 Penn Global Seminars

Penn Global Seminars (PGS) are semester-long courses taught on campus that include an embedded travel component. Through PGS, Penn undergraduate students are able to take full advantage of essential global learning opportunities regardless of their class year or major. The robust course offerings for the 2019-2020 academic year have been developed through partnerships with exceptional faculty leaders who bring an unparalleled level of expertise to their course and program sites.
Highlights of next year’s seminars include:

Expanded selection of writing seminars, allowing more students to fulfill their writing seminar requirement in a global context

New program sites, including Turkey, Japan, Costa Rica, and Zimbabwe

Courses offered in a diverse array of disciplines, including nursing, biology, political science, business, and religious studies
As part of our mission to keep the program cost low and accessible to all students, PGS participants will pay only a $950 flat program fee, which covers all students’ program costs, including round-trip airfare.
