My Experience Abroad

My work with Alva Creative House was a direct preview into my corporate job next summer! I worked on an internal development project for the consulting firm, researching competitors and pitching strategies for Alva to expand into international markets beyond Uruguay. As someone interested in pursuing international business, it was especially interesting to consider the cultural nuances that affect our work in each country. Alva also uniquely specializes in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and environmental sustainability. While developing client-facing marketing, I realized that Alva needed to first answer, “why is diversity / sustainability important?” before answering, “why Alva?” By shadowing workshops and client meetings, I was able to gain insight into this unique form of consulting.
