PGS: European Foreign and Security Policy in Times of Crisis
Emilia Bronk is a junior studying Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) with a concentration in Public Policy and Governance and a minor in Environmental Studies. She has been studying Mandarin for seven years. At the end of the spring semester, she will travel to Washington, D.C., as well as Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai through her Penn Global Seminar, where she will present proposals on the future of U.S.-China foreign policy to students and policymakers across different sectors. Outside the classroom, Emilia was actively involved in the election this fall and is deeply engaged in Penn’s performing arts community. She is part of the first gender-inclusive class of Mask and Wig, a musical comedy troupe, teaches students acting through ASA@P, and serves as the SMAC (Singers, Musicians, and Comedians) Chair for Platt Performing Arts House. In her free time, she enjoys working at the rock wall, learning to play the piano, writing comedy with her cast mates, and going on adventures with friends. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in policy making or government relations
During her global seminar she is particularly looking forward to…

- Meeting her class-contemporaries working on similar projects at Tsinghua University
- Eating as many soup dumplings (小笼包)as possible
- Visiting the U.S. Embassy and meeting Penn Alumni in Beijing
- Seeing Schwarzman College and Yenching Academy
- Sightseeing at the Great Wall
