My Experience Abroad:
The GRIP Business in Sydney program has changed my perspective on global experiences and career aspirations. As my first experience being abroad, I learned many valuable lessons about living alone and being independent. Completing a research internship abroad helped me develop professionally; as a business student, I had never really considered working in academia or research but found it to be an incredibly eye-opening experience. I am fortunate enough to have developed meaningful relationships with my supervisor, colleagues, fellow Penn students, and local Australians that I will carry with me for years to come!
Other Highlights:
- Trying different cuisines around cultural hotspots in Sydne
- Exploring Australia through taking weekend trips to Cairns (Great Barrier Reef) and Melbourne
- Meeting local students and exploring their hidden gem recommendations
- Creating lasting friendships with my GRIP cohort
