Emily serves as a program manager for Penn Abroad’s short-term and faculty-led programs, including the Penn Global Seminars (PGS) program. Emily works with faculty to develop new seminars, plans the short-term travel component for selected courses, and supports students going abroad through PGS. With nearly 15 years of experience at Penn, she most recently coordinated the Center for Media at Risk at the Annenberg School for Communication. During her time at Annenberg, she managed SummerCulture, a faculty-led program geared toward PhD candidates that traveled to countries such as South Africa, Turkey, Spain, Germany, Denmark, and Japan. She completed her undergraduate studies at Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and earned her Master’s in Education in Education Entrepreneurship at Penn’s Graduate School of Education. Emily studied abroad at the University of Manchester and then returned as part of the British Universities North America Club (BUNAC) where she continued to live and work in the Northwest of England for several years.
