My name is Guadalupe Espinoza-Chavez, and I'm a current sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Political Science and Urban Studies. Next fall semester, I will be traveling to Argentina, Spain, and South Africa through the IHP: Cities in the 21st Century Program. My on-campus involvements include Penn First Board, Penn for Immigrant Rights, Mujeres Empoderadas, and a Social Equity and Community Fellow. I love grocery shopping, cooking, dancing, and running in my free time. Throughout my time abroad, I am excited to visit every destination and explore as much as possible. I am looking forward to:
- The traditional Argentine barbecue or asado
- Going to a tango class in Argentina
- Taking a hike in Cape Town, South Africa
- Exploring Barcelona's rich history and visiting the Sagrada Familia
- Try out all different types of food across the many places
- Make new friendships and speak Spanish
