Josue David Ruiz is a junior in SAS studying Physics with a concentration in Computer Techniques and a minor in Hispanic Studies. In the fall semester, he will be traveling to Barcelona, Spain to study at the Universitat de Barcelona. Josue is from Houston, Texas and is excited to explore Europe for the first time. On campus, he has participated in research within the Physics department and has served as board member for student radio and MathMates. Josue is immensely excited for the simultaneous cultural immersion and his academic continuation in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain!
Throughout his semester, he is particularly looking forward to:
- Exploring Barcelona architecture and art history
- Exploring the beauty of the natural landscapes around Barcelona
- Being immersed in Catalan culture
- Creating relationships abroad
- Learning about physics, literature, art, and history in a new context
