Kristyn provides strategic direction and leadership to the Penn Abroad team, the division of Penn Global responsible for advancing global education at the University of Pennsylvania. Penn Abroad programming spans semester and academic year, summer, research, internships, and short-term. In her role, Kristyn furthers Penn's global strategy through the strengthening of current programs and development of new initiatives. With a robust suite of offerings, the Penn Abroad portfolio aims to provide the opportunity for every Penn student to have a meaningful global experience during their Penn academic career.
Kristyn studied abroad at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco as an undergraduate student. She also completed a Fulbright exchange to Malta, where she served as an English Teaching Assistant and conducted independent research on language policy in education. Kristyn received her BA in linguistics and Arabic studies from Binghamton University and her MA in international educational development from Teachers College, Columbia University.
