Sabirah Mahmud is a sophomore International Relations student with a minor in Modern Middle Eastern Studies. In the upcoming academic year, she will be traveling to Dublin, Ireland, and studying at Trinity College Dublin (TCD). Growing up locally in Philadelphia, PA, she is excited to spend her junior year exploring the international, rich, and diverse culture in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, she is President of the Bangladeshi Students Association and an active member in Fossil Free Penn. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing the clarinet, hiking, and listening to Lorde on repeat. She is incredibly excited for a year exchange of personal growth, exploring Dublin, and learning about the role of European nations, especially Ireland, in ensuring protections for climate refugees.
