There are many opportunities to engage in a global experience during your time at Penn, even if a summer internship, semester abroad, or academic coursework isn’t the right fit for your program or interests.
Campus Partner Programs
Many other Penn centers and academic departments offer internship and research abroad opportunities during the summer. As a participant in any of the Penn campus partner programs below, you will gain access to generous funding from Penn Abroad to offset travel expenses and support your experience abroad.
Center for the Advanced Center of India
CASI provides grants for undergraduate and graduate students conducting research on India’s politics, economy, and society and provides fully-funded summer internship opportunities with internationally renowned partners in India.
Botswana-UPenn Partnership
The Botswana-UPenn Partnership (BUP) is a collaboration between the Government of Botswana, the University of Botswana, and the University of Pennsylvania. BUP facilitates fully funded research and internship opportunities for undergraduate Penn students, as well as graduate students enrolled in relevant degree programs.

Each year, twelve exceptional student leaders will be selected for a transformative eight-week summer internship program in Dublin, Ireland, during which they will expand their understanding of Irish history and culture while gaining practical work experience.
