Other Global Opportunities

There are many opportunities to engage in a global experience during your time at Penn, even if a summer internship, semester abroad, or academic coursework isn’t the right fit for your program or interests.

Sustainability & Travel

As you plan to take part in global programs, consider the environmental effects of your time abroad, including, but not limited to carbon emissions resulting from air and automobile travel, the impact of using single-use plastic bottles and packaging, and the purchase of imported products.

Visa Information

Depending on your country of citizenship, program type, travel duration, and destination country, you may be required to obtain a visa prior to going abroad. A visa is an official permission granted by the authorities of the country where you will travel which allows you to enter and remain in that country.
