GRIP: Intern in Hong Kong

Program Abroad:

  • Global Research & Internship Program (GRIP): The OPEN Classroom Intern in Hong Kong

Ask me about...

  • Adapting to a foreign culture

  • Constantly getting out of your comfort zone

  • Working in a country where you don't speak the language

My Experience Abroad:

I was born and raised in Europe, experiencing the business environment first-hand through the start-up and non-profit I co-founded. Attending Wharton gave me great insight into the way business works in the US. However, it wasn't until I went to Hong Kong for 8 weeks that I understood what a global perspective even is. I was fascinated to discover the local opinion on Economy and International Relations and I know that I would've never discovered that insight if I were reading the news or a book on the subject.

Other Highlights:

  • Making life-long friendships on a foreign continent

  • Meeting incredible alumni that later became close mentors

  • Exploring and experiencing a new culture first-hand
