Deepika Kannan is an Urban Studies and Computer Science major in the College, originally from Orlando, Florida. Next semester, she looks forward to studying abroad at University College London, where she will take classes in urban planning. She is very interested in the integration of smart technology in city planning, and hopes to pursue this in the future. At Penn, she’s a part of Global Research & Consulting, a researcher at the Wharton Climate Center, and dances with Penn Thillana, a classical Indian dance team.
