My Experience Abroad:
During my time abroad, I learned about the political and ancient history and culture of Southeast Asia abroad, taking classes about Southeast Asia democracy and dictatorship, military history, race and ethnicity, and models of international relations. It was an incredible experience to be able to learn from some of the local experts in the field, and I hope to be able to further my understanding of democratic development.
My experience in a residential college was unique, in that I got to participate in service events in my themed residential college. This included working weekly with migrant brothers in Singapore, rescuing vegetables in Little India, and learning about marginalized communities of Singapore. I also got to travel to Thailand with my Thai Art class, and visited temples with incredible examples of Thai art.
