Penn Global Initiatives
On a yearly basis, Penn Global welcomes proposals from faculty and staff who seek support for their global research and engagement activities. Beginning August 15, 2022, Penn Global will accept expressions of interest for Research Grants. Penn Global Research Grants support a range of research, teaching, service, and other activities that focus on topics related to areas outside of the United States which may be national, regional, transregional or global in nature. Projects must also advance the University’s global engagement and align with our grant program priorities.
Research Grants are made possible through the Penn Global Research and Engagement Grant Program, which consists of four funds: the Global Engagement Fund, the China Research and Engagement Fund, the India Research and Engagement Fund, and the Holman Africa Research and Engagement Fund. Each fund maintains its own set of priorities. We encourage applicants to explore each fund to learn how they can partner with Penn Global to advance their global research and engagement activities.
Penn faculty and senior administrators, or those with a long-term position at the University, are welcome to apply for a Penn Global Research Grant. Additional information about this year's Call for Proposals will be available on our website in the forthcoming weeks.
Those interested in applying are strongly encouraged to attend an upcoming information session on Monday, July 25th (virtual) or Monday, August 15th (hybrid). Additional details about the information sessions are provided below. You may also visit our website to learn more about Penn Global Research Grants.
