We are committed to making international experiences an indispensable part of Penn, whether through study abroad, service learning, or innovative travel initiatives. Penn faculty engage in a wide range of international research projects, many of which provide opportunities for students to engage in hands-on global experiences. And once students leave Penn, they become part of our unparalleled global alumni network.

Global Internship Program
The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers the opportunity to embrace and adapt to new challenges, collaborate with people from different backgrounds and gain global exposure. This unique program provides outstanding undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to intern or conduct research abroad for 8 to 12 weeks over the summer.
Global Fellowships & Research
The Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships supports Penn students and alumni in the application process for many international fellowships and scholarships, including but by no means limited to the Rhodes Scholarship, Marshall Scholarship, Gates Cambridge Scholarship, and Fulbright Grant.
Penn Global Seminars
The Penn Global Seminars program is an initiative that provides financial and logistical support for embedding overseas travel into robust undergraduate seminars. These courses combine an intensive semester-long seminar with a short-term travel component, led by the course’s instructor, which will deepen the students' understanding of concepts discussed in the classroom.
