Christopher (Chris) Klaniecki is Penn Global’s Global initiatives Program Manager, managing Penn Global’s Grant Program as well as other key faculty engagement initiatives. In this role, he works closely with Scott Moore and the Global Initiatives team, Penn Global’s Business Office, Global Support Services, and Penn faculty and their administrators.
Chris initially joined Penn Global as a Global Initiatives Fellow, supporting a full range of activities for the Global Initiatives team including the China Research and Engagement Fund and other China initiatives, Penn Global funding programs, website management, and visits by foreign delegations and partners. Prior to joining the Penn Global team, Chris served as an ESL educator both in China (Baoshan, Yunnan and Shenzhen, Guangdong) as well as in the U.S. He has also worked in a professional IT capacity, including at Penn and at Swarthmore College. Chris graduated from Swarthmore College with dual B.A.’s in Chinese and Theater Studies.
