The first step to globalizing your Penn experience is getting a passport!
In partnership with CIEE, Penn Abroad is excited to bring you one step closer to going abroad with the opportunity to receive a FREE U.S. passport (a $145 value). The first 100 eligible Penn students to register for the event are also guaranteed to receive free passport photos from the Penn Card Center, in addition to a fully-funded passport!
The United States Postal Service (USPS) will be present at the October 25th event to accept passport applications. Take the first step now by signing up. Once you sign up, you will receive more information about the pre-check process and registering for a time slot during the event.
Step 1: Make sure you’re eligible

Must be a U.S. citizen;

Must be 18 years or older;

Must be a current, degree-seeking, first-, second-, or third-year undergraduate student at Penn (eg. no seniors or graduate students);

Must be a first-time passport applicant (no renewals permitted);

Must be financial aid eligible.
Students who identify as first-generation college students, low income, and/or traditionally underrepresented in study abroad are strongly encouraged to sign up for this event.
Step 2: Signup by October 1st

You must sign up in order to secure your space, however, your appointment is not confirmed until you have attended and completed a document pre-check in the month of October.
Step 3: Prepare and attend a pre-check day

Details on pre-check days will be sent to all eligible student who sign up.

Please come to a pre-check prepared with the required documents detailed here.

You will make you official passport application appointment to submit your application to USPS at this pre-check
Step 4: Attend the Passport Caravan on October 25th

Arrive on time for your appointment to submit to a USPS agent during the event, enjoy some refreshments, and learn about global opportunities for Penn students.

Late arrivals may lose their space and opportunity to submit a passport application.
