Program Abroad:
-
Semester Abroad (SA): Oxford University: Pembroke College
Ask me about...
-
Academics abroad. I chose an academically rigorous program rather than one that is primarily a cultural experience, though cultural immersion was certainly a part of the program.
-
Living abroad for the first time. It was my first time living abroad for an extended period of time.
My Experience Abroad:
I studied economics at Oxford as well as some philosophy, my minor.
Other Highlights:
-
Morning walks through Christ Church meadow, where I would go to read philosophy.
-
The biennial Pembroke Ball, a college-wide black tie party with lots of food, drinks, and music.
-
Punting and playing croquet on the lawn--two distinctly Oxford activities.
-
Visiting a friend who was studying abroad in Paris. Seeing Notre Dame burn down live was certainly a low-light.
