Angelina Oh is a philosophy, politics, & economics major in the College, concentrating in globalization, and minoring in consumer psychology. Being born in Seoul and moving to the US at a very young age, she’s excited to return and explore what she considers her distant home. At Penn, she is an SNF Paideia Fellow and is currently working on developing her capstone project for the program on the topic of corporate social responsibility. Her other campus involvements include the Korean Student Association, the Student Federal Credit Union, the Asian Pacific American Leadership Initiative, and Civic House. In her free time, she likes to explore Philly’s food scene with her friends, capture memories through film photography, and watch Netflix shows. She’s looking forward to spending the next semester learning about the various fields in her interdisciplinary major from a global context and perspective.
During her upcoming semester, she is looking forward to…
-
Befriending both native Korean students and fellow international students
-
Taking courses abroad with topics concentrated in the Korean/East Asian region (gain different perspective)
-
Getting the opportunity to improve upon her Korean speaking and comprehension skills through courses and daily tasks
-
Visiting cities outside of Seoul and potentially neighboring countries
-
Trying out all the delicious foods Korea has to offer!
