  • Studying abroad without a job set up for the Summer.

  • Applying for jobs while abroad.

My Experience Abroad:

Throughout my fall semester abroad in London, I was taught subject matter that perfectly aligned with my coursework as a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major. A class titled Thinking Politically: Concepts, Theories, and Ideologies set up a foundation for me to explore political theory in each of my other political science-related classes. My British politics course helped me understand the ways in which the UK functions and operates especially in relation to global affairs. Through its career-based sessions, I was able to understand how to get involved in a British politics-related profession.

Other Highlights:

  • Traveling throughout Europe while living in the UK was relatively easy and gave me the chance to have a really special and unique travel experience.

  • Making friends with lots of international students at my University.

  • Having the opportunity to meet a wide variety of interesting students from a range of backgrounds and cultures.

  • Feeling supported by all of my teachers who were incredibly supportive, patient, and understanding of associate students.
